  2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

Certain cookies contain personal information - for example, if you click “remember me” or “remember me” at the time of login, a cookie will store your username and/or access permissions. Most cookies do not collect information to identify users, and are limited to collecting information of a more general nature such as the origin of users who arrive at the site, or the inaccurate location of the user.

  3. What are cookies for?

Most of the cookies used by our websites are essential cookies, i.e., strictly necessary for the functioning of the website. Examples of such cookies are: user input cookies; authentication cookies; cookies from multimedia content playback software.

The essential cookies we use collect site usage and navigation data and are placed to improve the performance of our websites and the experience of our users.

We also use non-essential cookies placed by third parties on our websites for the purposes of marketing and promotion of the J. Carranca Redondo Lda. brands, such as the cookies placed on our websites by Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Facebook. This type of cookies allows us to analyze the behavior of users on the website and the interaction of these same users with online advertisements of the brands of J. Carranca Redondo Lda. At the same time, they allow us to make personalized ads for a certain target audience based on interests or needs previously registered in the cookies in question. It should, however, be noted that cookies used for marketing or promotion purposes do not store personal information that may allow a direct identification of users.

  4. How to manage cookies?

If you do so in relation to the essential cookies that we place, the use of our websites may be compromised by the fact that the cookies that we use are necessary for their operation.
